Barbiecore
The other day someone asked me if I am a "Barbie Girl"... and immediately responded, YES, I am a Barbie Girl! I grew up playing with them, I think I have my first barbie when I was 2 years old.
So, you can imagine I am very excited about the new Barbie movie and I made some cookies inspired in a Barbie I found on an antique shop few years ago.
To make these cookies, I followed the same technique I used for the Encanto movie cookies, I covered my cookie with natural color magic consistency royal icing and let it dry completely, then I used an Akaso projector to mirror the image on the cookie.
Here is a video on how to set up a pico projector, click HERE
I traced the silhouette with medium consistency icing and used a pipping tip #1.5, then I filled the face with medium consistency icing that I tinted with flesh tone food gel color.
I made the hair with two different shades of yellow flooding consistency icing, I used gold and yellow food gel color. Then I let it dry completely and later on I used edible markers and white flooding consistency icing to make the face.
You can watch a little video here: Barbie Cookie
You can change the color of the hair or the skin of this cookie, the possibilities are endless.

For this cookie, I added just a little bit of brown food gel color to the icing I used in the first cookie and for the hair I used the same gold and yellow icing and black and brown folding consistency icing, this hair was a little bit of a challenge, I spend less time than in real salon when you give your hair some highlights.
I used edible pearls to add a 3D effect and for this cookie I used Sweet Sticks edible paint palette
I hope that these cookies inspire you to make some Barbiecore cookies!
