Few years ago I purchased a kit to make a mini piñata, and finally I had the time to make it, it was really nice that everything came already cut and it was very easy to assemble.

I really like the idea of the piñata to put some of the candy cookies I made.

Here is the video and you can see how I made it!

While making the mini piñata, I came with the idea to make a little "Piñata style" Trick or treat favor using a cookie cutter as the template and some black tissue paper.

Let me show you how I did it, for the project  you will need:

  • Black card stock
  • Black tissue paper
  • String
  • Any kind of crafts eyes
  • Candies
  • Scissors
  • Ruller
  • Puncher
  • Glue or hot gun

Here are some pictures of how I did it.

I used a cat cookie cutter as a template, then I cut the cat.

I cut 1 in strips of tissue paper and cut 1/4 in fringes.

Then I started glueing the paper to the cat starting from the bottom.

Then I made some holes in the top of the cat to pulled the string to hang the "Piñata".

Then I put the eyes and in the back I glue the cookie bag.

And that was it! It is really simple and looks cute, they will look cute hanging on a tree so the kids can come and pick one, or two.
