I have been thinking about how different this Halloween will be, this is the time of the year that we like to buy some candies for the kids that live in our neighborhood. We will need to think in a creative "COVID" safe idea on how to give them some treats. I have very sweet memories of my daughter coming back from Trick or treat and check all the goodies she got, I remember my husband having the first pick on the candy mountain.
These cookies that I made are inspired in those moments, these cookies are a lot of fun to do and if you invite your kids to make them, for sure they will enjoy it!
Don't worry if you don't have candy shaped cookie cutters, for these cookies I used very basic geometric shapes cookie cutters, like circles, triangles and rectangles. You can also have a math teaching time while cutting out the cookies.
Here is the video where you can see how I cut-out some of the cookies and how I decorated them.
For most of the candy wraps and lollipops cookies I used a wet on wet technique and for the other cookies I just covered them with icing and when they were completely dry I used an edible marker and edible spray to make some final touches.
I hope these cookies inspire you to bake some cookies for your family and friends, I am so sure they will love them!
