Pumpkin season is almost here, fall is my favorite season and I can't wait for cooler temperatures, and I am wondering if there will be less pumpkins around this year because of the pandemic, I hope not, because I love to see them everywhere!
If you have been reading my blog, you might know that I love to make pumpkin and Jack O lanterns cookies. Many years ago I purchased a Jack O' lantern cookie cutter set in Williams Sonoma and it has become one of my favorite cookie cutters.
Can you believe I just paid $2.99 for it? It was on sale of course! If you want to buy something similar amazon has one click HERE.
The first design I made was a Jack O' lantern with a stained glass effect, I used jolly ranchers and the result was lovely! Click HERE
The other design was a Halloween trick or treat bag with candies, I liked it but it was so hard to put it together. Click HERE
Then I made this Snoopy Halloween cookie, I love it! Click HERE
The next year I made a cookie inspired in one of my daughter's paintings she made when she was a little girl, a cat coming out of a pumpkin, is in it cute? Click here
To give it a twist to these cookies, last year I decided to use chocolate ganache as icing, and let me tell you, the cookies were a hit!
Not sure what design I will come up this year, but so far I have enjoyed so much using this cookie cutter set.
One of the things that I love more about cookie decorating is how you can use your creativity and think out side the box and come up with a lot of ideas using the same cookie cutter, so you don't have to spend so much money.
Stay tuned to see my 2020 creation.
